The board has a diversity of experience across various fields like law, higher education, finance, computer software design, and website hosting. Each served as an undergraduate officer while at Lambda Chi Alpha and was involved in multiple activities on campus.

The board hopes to expand on the good work of the previous board and is ready to work hard to foster communications between the actives and the alumni and to serve as stewards of the house. Any and all suggestions from other alumni to the new board are greatly appreciated.

Pillars

Our Five Pillars are the embodiment of Lambda Chi Alpha’s cardinal principles that steer every action of our organization. These principles provide consistency, clarity, and unity of purpose in what it means to be a member of Lambda Chi. They guide our ability to discern members from nonmembers, strengths from weaknesses, and right from wrong by reflecting the character, convictions, and virtues of our enduring brotherhood.

Pillars: Equal Membership, Timeless Leadership, Total Health, Strength Through Service, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Mission

Lambda Chi Alpha is a diverse group of students who are brought together by our common belief in the principles of the fraternity, listed above. Since our re-colonization at Gettysburg, we have held the highest GPA of all-male Greek organizations for nearly every semester. Involvement is a requirement of Lambda Chi and all of our brothers are participants in extracurricular activities, ranging from campus jobs to intramurals and varsity sports teams. We have had a strict anti-hazing policy since the 1970s and we follow that policy in accordance with our open motto, ‘Every man a man’.

Principles: Fraternity, Morality, Learning, and Patriotism

Creed of Lambda Chi Alpha

We believe in Lambda Chi Alpha, and its traditions, principles, and ideals. The crescent is our symbol; pure, high ever-growing, and the cross is our guide; denoting service, sacrifice, and even suffering and humiliation before the world, bravely endured if need be, in following that ideal.

May we have faith in Lambda Chi Alpha and passion for its welfare. May we have hope for the future of Lambda Chi Alpha and the strength to fight for its teachings. May we have pure hearts, that we may approach the ideal of perfect brotherly love.

Seven Core Values

Developed in 2007 and modeled after the U.S. Army’s values, Lambda Chi Alpha’s Seven Core Values—loyalty, duty, respect, service and stewardship, honor, integrity, and personal courage—provide a moral compass for members of the Fraternity.
